In 2023, we explored new ways to engage young people in our programming. Minecraft alloed us to blend the world of gaming with education of Trustworthy AI. This wasn’t just about adopting a new platform; it was about crafting an immersive learning experience for a younger audience.

The project involved creating a Minecraft world, specifically designed for 9 to 11-year-olds, in collaboration with Causeway Digital. This initiative turned complex AI concepts into a playful and accessible adventure. The impact of this creative approach was huge, with tens of thousands of students in classrooms and homes exploring and learning from this Minecraft world.

The Minecraft x Mozilla Festival project allowed us to see the possibilities of using gaming for education. Showcasing how popular gaming platforms can be leveraged to make learning both fun and insightful, especially in explaining intricate topics like AI to young people.
